Two questions that I wish Bob Costas would have asked McGwire: 1) How would telling the truth about "the past" have affected your family? Anything you said to your wife would be excluded, and you say you told nobody anything anyway. Why can't you admit that you did it to save your own bacon (entirely understandable, by the way) instead of hiding behind "Impact on my family"? 2)Even if you took "Low doses of steroids" only to "recover from injury", how is that fair to all of those players who had to quit playing due to injuries and stress of "unassisted" rehab?
